My Story

I was propelled into the darkest night of my soul as an eight-year-old child. Finding my way back to the light was a journey of deep faith and wisdom by the grace of God.

At the age of 12, I began practicing yoga and in 2014 I received my 200-hour yoga teacher certification in Shakti Naam & Naam Yoga Therapies. In 2015, I received my Vocal Yoga Teacher Certification through the Heather Lyle Method. Through my own healing journey, I have gained understanding in proven psycho-spiritual models including Internal Family Systems (parts work) and Inner Bonding. My offerings draw on this vast well of both formal education and experiential understanding.

I have an intuitive understanding of the human psyche. In my coaching, I reflect back to you to identify your unconscious belief systems, create new thought patterns, and reprogram your subconscious mind.

Johena is a phonetic version of my Korean name "조현화" (Hyun-wha) meaning "wise flower." Wha is the sound of ecstasy. By invoking the sounds of my eastern lineage with the knowledge of my western upbringing, I honor my shamanic ancestors in serving my global community.
